Privately educated, including attendance at Eton College. Attended Cambridge University, gaining a double first class honours in Classics and History. Also has a PhD in Economic History.
Career History

He started out as a columnist for Daily Telegraph.
Then became an analyst at JP Morgan Chase

Kwarteng also worked for a hedge fund owned by Crispin Odley, who is good friends with Jacob Rees-Mogg

Political Career
Became Conservative MP in 2010
Involved in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy
Became Chancellor in 2022, under Prime Minister Liz Truss.
One of his first public acts as chancellor, with the biggest cost of living crisis in a century, he thinks the first people that need help are to give bankers unlimited bonuses.

Went to a cocktail party with hedge fund managers, many of whom had recently bet against the pound, on the evening of his mini-budget announcement which crashed the UK economy. Sterling tanked, making the people he was at the party with millions of pounds.
